LTE to fuel Canada’s digital economy.
Rogers Communications Inc. will bring to the Canadian customers faster wireless network this year to serve its smartphone, tablet and mobile laptop users, competing the race to become the fastest network in Canada.
This LTE network will have three to four times faster speeds than its existing most advanced network, putting Rogers into the same level as the most advanced networks of Telus and Bell.
LTS will significantly increase upload and download speeds, improve multi-player gaming and allow workers to be truly mobile. For example, the technology would allow users to talk on their smartphones and watch a high-definition video at the same time. Without the speed of the internet being affected.
The new LTE, Long-Term Evolution network in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver will be rolled out by the end of 2011 and will reach Canada’s top 25 markets by the end of 2012.
This next-generation network will give a push to Canada’s digital economy and that Rogers wants to work with the new federal government to make Canada the digital leader of this century.
