With 600 million users who wouldn’t want to be associated with Facebook?
Rumours continued to run via a report from the Bloomberg site, which states that Facebook has resumed talks with the VoIP telephony service Skype. The partnership will probably be based around the concept of a video calling service that will be placed on the networking site Facebook. Bloomberg’s information apparently comes from sources close to Facebook and Skype.
Skype said in January that video calls accounted for more than 41% of all calls between Skype users in the second half of last year.
If the partnership is set up, this would not only allow Skype to expand its user base but also it would give Facebook a place in the world of video calling. This new partnership could be very profitable as it is currently requested by many Facebook users. As well as this, it could be an interesting alternative to the tool Apple “FaceTime, “and Google’s Gmail.
